Sweet basil has a very pleasant, complex and warm flavor, with a wonderful sweet note. Delicious in salads also on fresh tomatoes, Italian pasta, sauces and Mediterranean dishes. A bacon, lettuce & tomato sandwich just isn't a BLT without basil sprinkled on the tomatoes!
